Mrs. J. F. Burns, former resident of Escanaba died Sunday afternoon, July 15, at 3:30 at Walled lake, Mich., following a lenghty illness.
She was born in Powers and was educated at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in Marinette.
Funeral services will be held at Walled Lake Wesnesdaymorning and burial in Detroit.
Mrs. Burns is survived by the follow sons and daughters; Bartley (Bud) Burns of Milwaukee; Willard of Detroit; Mrs. Oliver McKenzie, the former Marion Burns of Walled lake; Robert Burns of Walled lake; and Mrs. clark Cuthbert, the former Jane Burns of Escanaba; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and three sisters and one brother; Mrs. Mildred laCount and Mrs. Joseph Wright of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Lehr of Escanaba and William J. Wheeler of Cleveland has been in Walled lake with her mother during her long illness. Mrs. Lehr will be unable to attend the services because of poor health.
